Phishing

You see an email promising free gifts – you click, because who wouldn’t want a gift? But instead of gifts, you get a virus that steals your personal data and all the money you have in your bank account.

Don’t take risks, even in the holiday spirit. Check the website addresses and don’t click on suspicious links.

There are thousands of stories online about an employee clicking on a “holiday promotion” link, which led to malware being installed on their computer, which encrypted all of the company’s systems.

Remember:

  • Be careful when opening emails with “promotions.”
  • Check if the URL address is correct.
  • Avoid clicking on suspicious links.
